Monica J.

Monica J. is an experienced education professional with a strong background in employee development, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and instructional design. Currently serving as an Employee Development Coach and Professional Learning Specialist at Fremont Union High School District since August 2014, Monica has successfully mentored new and veteran employees, facilitated onboarding, and created programming to enhance cultural awareness among staff. Monica's previous roles include a DEI Learning Consultant, where strategies resulted in improved employee satisfaction, and a facilitator at Stanford University, mentoring National Board candidates. With a Master's degree from Saint Xavier University and a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Monica has contributed to several districts by fostering diverse hiring practices and creating interdisciplinary programming to support struggling readers.
