Rutger van Galen

Rutger van Galen has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Rutger most recently served as the Vice President Mechatronics Europe & US and Managing Director at Frencken Europe B.V., starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at GKN Aerospace as the Vice President Regional Transformation Lead, Europe & APAC from January 2020 to November 2021. At GKN Fokker Aerostructures, Rutger held several roles including General Manager and Vice President. Rutger was responsible for P&L and managed manufacturing sites in multiple locations. Rutger also served as the Vice President Global Operations at Fokker Aerostructures and held various leadership positions, overseeing manufacturing, industrialization, logistics, and production support. Additionally, Rutger has experience in process improvement and project management as a Black Belt and participated in several lean initiatives.

Rutger van Galen holds a Master of Science - MS degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, which they completed from 1993 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Utrechts Stedelijk Gymnasium from 1987 to 1993 to earn their Gymnasium degree. Additionally, Rutger van Galen has participated in the Financial Seminar for Senior Managers at London Business School in 2011, and they have completed a program in Advanced Business Administration at ISBW Opleiding & Training in 2006.
