Adam Bermingham

Adam Bermingham has a varied work experience. Adam is currently the Head of AI at Fresco, which they began in 2020. Prior to that, they took a sabbatical career break to focus on homemaking. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Zalando SE, where they were a Research Lead and Senior Data Scientist. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Data Scientist at Independent News & Media. From 2007 to 2014, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Researcher at Dublin City University, where they completed a PhD in CLARITY: Centre of Sensor Web Technologies in the area of Sentiment Analysis and Real-time Information Retrieval. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2007, they worked at IBM as a Staff Software Engineer, Extreme Blue Lead Technical Mentor, and Software Engineer.

Adam Bermingham has a long and impressive educational history. Adam received their PhD in Sentiment Analysis, Information Retrieval, and Machine Learning from Dublin City University in 2011. Before that, they obtained a BA (Mod) in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin in 2004. Additionally, they hold certifications in Natural Language Processing Specialization from Coursera, obtained in December 2020, and Sun Certified Java Programmer 1.5.
