Richard Palentine

Richard Palentine has extensive work experience in the hospitality and foodservice industry. Richard started their career as a Chef in various quality hotels and restaurants from 1981 to 1983. Richard then worked as an Executive Head Chef at the Scarisbrick Hotel from 1983 to 2000. After that, they held various sales and management roles at Brakes Group from 2000 to 2015, including Area Sales Manager, Region Sales Manager, Divisional Sales Director, Business Unit Director, and Independent Change Director. In 2015, they briefly served as the Sales Director at e-foods and later worked as a Consultant at Apple Bridge Consultants. From 2016, Richard served as the Director at Beetroot Purchasing, where they utilized their passion for food in various capacities. In 2016, they also joined Fresh Direct (UK) as the Head of Internal Sales. Currently, Richard Palentine holds the position of Head of Wholesale at Sysco Specialty Group, starting in February 2021.
