Nicole Hoven

Nicole Hoven has a diverse and extensive work experience. Nicole currently works as a Program Leader for the organization Stichting De Nijensteen. Nicole is also a Co-Founder of Fresh Ventures Studio, a venture building program and startup studio focused on addressing systemic challenges in the food system. Additionally, Nicole is the Director Owner of Hof van Hoven, a business and event caterer known for their innovative and healthy dishes.

In the past, Nicole has held various roles such as Concept Developer for the Goethe-Institute Netherlands, Co-Founder and Quartermaster of Het Reizend Hotel (The Traveling Hotel), and Concept Developer for the Watersnoodmuseum. Nicole has also worked as a Project Manager for the Senia Foundation and Natuurmonumenten, where they were responsible for managing events, communication projects, and meeting locations. Nicole was also the Founder of the Rotterdamse Oogst Foundation, which aimed to strengthen the local food chain through festivals, events, and new concepts. Nicole has served as a member and deputy chairman of the Monuments Commission for the Commission for Welfare and Monuments Rotterdam.

Nicole Hoven began their education at Kruisherencollege Uden, where they completed their Atheneum degree from 1977 to 1983. Following this, they attended Leiden University from 1983 to 1989, earning a Drs. degree in Arts: Languages and Cultures Latin America and Theater Studies. In 1990, they enrolled at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences for a post-doc program in didactische vaardigheden, which is still ongoing. In 1995, Nicole Hoven attended de Baak to study ik en de anderen, and in 2005, they obtained a Nima a certification from the Nederlands Instituut voor Marketing. Nicole also completed the autonome verandering in mens en organisatie program at Pulsar from 2006 to 2009. Continuing their studies at de Baak, Nicole Hoven pursued leidinggeven aan (eigenwijze) professionals without a specified end year. Most recently, in 2015, they attended de Baak again to study management van mensen. In 2017, Nicole Hoven earned a Nima b certification from the Nederlands Instituut voor Marketing, and it seems that their education is ongoing beyond this point.
