Adel Shahin

Adel Shahin has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2006 as a Tutor at Ryerson University, Adel then worked as a Software Developer at Pöyry in 2008. From 2009 to 2011, Adel served as a Data Conversion Analyst at Computershare Governance Services, specializing in complex data analysis and database migration.

In 2011, Adel joined AGF Management Limited as a Financial Reporting Analyst, where they built a scalable reporting engine and developed regulatory documents. Adel then moved to Element Fleet Management in 2014 and took up roles such as Business Reporting Analyst, Senior Developer, and Business Intelligence Architect. They were responsible for automating billing reports, managing software development teams, and implementing ETL processes.

In 2020, Adel joined Fleet Complete as a Senior Data Engineer, where they built a scalable and reliable data pipeline and oversaw the migration of large volumes of data. Currently, Adel holds the position of Senior Data Engineer and Data Engineering Team Lead at FreshBooks, starting in 2021.
