Gerardo Perezcamargo

Gerardo PerezCamargo has over 30 years of work experience in the pet food industry and veterinary field. Gerardo is currently the Senior Vice President of R&D at Freshpet, a role they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, Gerardo worked at Nestlé S.A. as the Global Pet Welfare and Behavior Manager from December 2006 to April 2018. Earlier in their career, Gerardo worked at Mars Petcare as a Veterinary Diets Product Developer from January 1994 to June 2000. Prior to entering the pet food industry, they served in the Spanish Army as a Veterinay Officer for a brief period in 1990. Gerardo PerezCamargo earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Biochemistry and Food Science from Nottigham University from 1991 to 1994.
