Lisa Nichols

Lisa Nichols is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in fostering academic success, particularly within African American communities. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the African American Academic Acceleration Department at Fresno Unified School District since April 2017, Lisa has previously held positions including Vice Principal and Guidance Learning Advisor within the same district. With a background in social work, Lisa began their career as a Social Worker at the Department of Social Services, eventually transitioning to roles in medical social work and school counseling. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, followed by a Master of Social Work, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, all from California State University, Fresno.
