Bogdan Marian

Bogdan Marian has a diverse work history, starting with their role as a Lab Technician at SUNY Buffalo from 2001 to 2004. Bogdan then served as a SA at SUNY Buffalo's CIT department from 2004 to 2006, where they created applications for the university's intranet site and implemented search and indexing tools for the website. Bogdan then worked at synacor as a Platform Engineer - Perl from 2006 to 2007, where they automated video publishing and streamlined metadata feeds for the company's customers.

In 2007, Bogdan joined FriendFinder Networks and held various positions over the years. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Perl Developer. In 2008, they became the Lead Developer and was responsible for the backend development of drip and DB email campaigns, generating millions of daily match emails. Bogdan then became the Manager of Customer Communications from 2009 to 2014, overseeing email marketing, email delivery, customer service management, and marketing campaign analysis. During this time, they significantly improved email delivery by implementing best practices and developing relationships with ISPs. Finally, from 2016 to 2018, Bogdan served as the Chief Technology Officer, where they launched a disaster recovery site and focused on data security and incident response efforts.

Bogdan also has experience outside of FriendFinder Networks. In 2005, they worked as a Webmaster/Designer at UCI - Reeve Irvine Research Center, and in 2016, they worked at UC Irvine as a technical resource and LAMP programmer.
