Friendly House
Sarah A. is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in teaching English and language programs, currently serving as a Refugee ESOL Instructor at Friendly House since June 2022. Previous roles include Document Controller at Technip, English Instructor at Middle East Forum, and English Translator at Al-Hanin Travel Agency. Sarah has also hosted a cultural and language education program on Al-Furat Al-Awsat Radio Station and taught conversational English to beginner adults at British Institutes. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in TEFL from Southern New Hampshire University, a Diploma of Education in TESOL from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor's degree in English Linguistics and Literature from the University of Babylon, among other specialized programs.

Since 1920, Friendly House has served the citizens of Arizona and those seeking to become a citizen, by providing the tools, training and support needed to attain sustaining, self-sufficiency. Our comprehensive programs include: workforce development, adult education, youth education, family and immigration legal services and mentoring. We also operate an early childhood education center and a charter school serving disadvantaged children in central - south Phoenix from K-8th grade.
