Haoran Xu

Co-Founder at Friendly Robots Company

Haoran Xu began their work experience as the Co-Founder of Friendly Robots Company in June 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Lab Assistant at UC Berkeley College of Engineering from August to November 2018. Before that, Haoran worked as a CAD Coordinator at Byers Engineering Company from June to August 2016. Haoran's earliest work experience was at Los Medanos College, where they founded and led the Engineering Tech Club from August 2015 to May 2016. During this time, they successfully managed the NASA Micro-g-NExT Challenge and received an award for their work.

Haoran Xu earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician from UC Berkeley College of Engineering between 2016 and 2018. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, Haoran Xu obtained several certifications related to machine learning, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, all from Coursera. The certifications were obtained in 2018, with the last one completed in June.
