Krista Harte Sassaman

Krista Harte Sassaman has extensive experience in the field of fundraising and donor development. Krista has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their expertise in direct response marketing and fundraising strategies.

In their most recent role as the Senior Director of Direct Response and Development Operations at the Friends Committee on National Legislation, Krista was responsible for driving direct response donor and revenue growth through various channels. Krista also led a team in acquiring, retaining, upgrading, acknowledging, and stewarding donors.

Before that, Krista worked as a Fundraising and Donor Development Consultant at Fundraising Insight + Innovation, where they provided expert advice and support to nonprofit organizations and direct response agencies. Krista specialized in assessing fundraising programs, developing strategic directions, and ensuring donor file health.

Krista also served as a Senior Personal Fundraising Coach at Network for Good, guiding nonprofit clients in launching and building their individual giving programs using direct response marketing and direct solicitation. Krista provided support in utilizing NFG's Donor Management System as a fundraising tool.

Krista Harte Sassaman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Language & Literature/Russian Studies from the University of Virginia. Krista also holds a Master of Arts degree in American Culture Studies, awarded with Cum Laude honors, from Bowling Green State University. Prior to their higher education, Krista attended South Lakes High School.
