LaVida Davis has extensive work experience in various advocacy and program management roles. LaVida currently serves as the Director of Strategic Advocacy at the Friends Committee on National Legislation since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Program Manager at Walker-Miller Energy Services starting in December 2021. From February 2020 to December 2021, they served as a Program Manager at the Chicago Jobs Council. LaVida also has a background in founding their own company, The Asha Group, where they held the position of Principal and Founder from June 2006 to December 2021. Additionally, they have worked at Bread for the World as the Director of Organizing and Grassroots Capacity Building from 2011 to 2016, and as a Regional Organizer from 2006 to 2010.
