Annika Bereny is an undergraduate researcher at the Rebecca M. Blank Center for Campus History, focusing on the history of UW-Madison student media. Annika is a member of the Wisconsin Alumni Student Board, serving as the Badger Buddy Co-chair, and has been the Special Pages Editor Emeritus at The Daily Cardinal, overseeing the planning and design of special edition pages. As a radio broadcaster for WSUM 91.7 FM Madison, Annika provides commentary on Wisconsin Badgers sports and hosts an all-women sports talk show. Prior experience includes a media relations internship at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and representation on the Palo Alto Board of Education while at Henry M. Gunn Senior High School. Annika also held leadership roles in student council, served as editor for The Gunn Oracle, and participated in YMCA Youth and Government programs. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion/Religious Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Annika has a strong background in communication and leadership.

WSUM 91.7 FM Madison
WSUM is the student-run freeform radio station at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With over 200 active members, WSUM is one of the country’s largest college radio stations and serves more than 197,000 listeners per year through 24/7/365 programming on its FM signal and internet radio streams. The station’s mission is to act in a service and outreach capacity to the people of Madison, to provide an educational environment for students of UW-Madison, and to be an alternative source of information and entertainment to our campus and community.
