Jorge Jiménez

Jorge Jiménez has a range of experience in program management, mentorship, and advocacy. Jorge worked as a Program Manager at Friends of the Children Austin from December 2018 to present. Prior to that, they were a Bilingual Professional Mentor at the same organization from January 2018 to October 2018. At Caritas of Austin, Jorge worked as an Employment Specialist from September 2016 to October 2017. In this role, they helped over 200 refugees from Latin America, South Asia, and Africa to maximize their potential in the U.S. Jorge also advocated for refugee clients with the Texas Legislature, designed career development workshops, and provided resume-building and job search assistance. Before that, Jorge served as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer with a focus on community organization and economic development from March 2015 to January 2016.

Jorge Jiménez obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies: Conflict, Peace and Diplomacy from The University of New Mexico. Jorge attended the university from 2008 to 2013.
