Friends of Youth
Brenda Petkus has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in project management and technical writing. Currently serving as a Community Volunteer at Community since July 2012, Brenda previously worked at Boeing from June 2011 to June 2012 as a Project Manager for the 787 program. Prior to Boeing, Brenda held the position of Program Manager at Bombardier Aerospace Flight Test Center from 2008 to October 2010. Additional roles include Project Manager at Concur Technologies from 2004 to 2006 and Technical Writer/Documentation Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1992 to 1999. Brenda holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master Web Designer Certification from Bellevue College.
Friends of Youth
For over 70 years, Friends of Youth has been driven by a belief that all youth should have every opportunity to succeed, and partners with youth and families to provide the relationships, resources, and skills they need to attain personal growth and success. With 24 program sites serving 18 cities in the Puget Sound Region, Friends of Youth provides safe places and emotional support for youth facing circumstances including homelessness, foster care, and behavioral health challenges. By joining our team, you will make a difference in the lives of young people by supporting them in taking their next steps toward safety, stability, and belonging.
