Yvonne Monique Aviva has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Yvonne Monique is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Residential and Foster Care Services at Friends of Youth since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Program Director of Young Adult Services at Treehouse for Kids from September 2021 to May 2023.

From 2003 to 2021, Yvonne worked as an SEL Educational Consultant and Project Manager, designing and delivering best practices programs for companies like Microsoft, Starbucks, military, school districts, and social service agencies. During this time, they also led marketing, strategic planning, task allotment, stakeholder engagement, and coalition building.

Yvonne co-founded Number 2 Names in 2017, a social justice cooperative focused on dismantling barriers facing formerly and currently incarcerated people. Yvonne Monique played a crucial role as the Project Manager, principal event planner, and built relationships with key stakeholders, garnering statewide recognition and support.

Yvonne Monique also worked as a Project Management Consultant at Vashon Island School District from August 2015 to June 2018. Yvonne influenced leadership and policy changes to support inclusive schools, built a coalition of stakeholders, and led the overhaul of the district-wide counseling department.

At Vashon Youth & Family Services, Yvonne held multiple roles. As the Parent Education and Community Coordinator from August 2012 to June 2014, they led a comprehensive needs assessment and created a parent coaching program. In their role as the McMurray Middle School Liaison from August 2008 to June 2009, they served as a project manager, youth case manager, and provided academic supports and coaching services to struggling students.

Overall, Yvonne has demonstrated their expertise and commitment in various roles across different organizations, focusing on youth services, education, social-emotional learning, and community partnerships.

Yvonne Monique Aviva has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from The Evergreen State College. Yvonne Monique is currently pursuing an Executive Masters of Public Administration at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, University of Washington. Yvonne Monique is also enrolled in the Executive Masters of Public Administration program at the University of Washington, which they will complete in 2021. In addition to their higher education, Yvonne holds several certifications including a Community Adaptive Leadership Certificate from Saybrook University and Leadership Eastside, a Gottman Seven Principles Certified Educator certificate from The Gottman Institute, a King County Motivational Interviewing Certificate (Level 1 & 2) from King County, WA, and a Second Step Facilitator certification from the Committee for Children.
