Melissa Nanninga has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Melissa started their career in 1994 at AT&T Cable, where they held various roles including Performance Management Consultant, Business Operations Manager, and Executive Assistant until 2000. Melissa then joined McLeodUSA as an Executive Assistant and Project Manager, staying with the company until 2002. Melissa then moved on to Burmeister Electric, where they worked in Information Services from 2002 to 2004. Melissa then joined State Farm Insurance as an Executive Assistant from 2004 to 2012, and later transitioned to the role of Agency Career Track Specialist, where they provided guidance and mentorship to candidates interested in the State Farm Agent opportunity. Melissa joined Friendship Haven in 2012 as an HR Coordinator and was promoted to HR Director in 2015, where they currently hold the position.

Melissa Nanninga earned their Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from the College of San Mateo, where they studied from 1990 until 1992. Melissa then pursued higher education at Buena Vista University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business from 1997 to 1999.
