John Glover

Chief of External Affairs at Friendship Public Charter School

John Glover is the current Strategic Advisor at Friendship Public Charter School. John has over fifteen years of experience in the education field, including founding and heading Alpha Public Schools. Alpha Public Schools served 1800 students from traditionally underserved communities in grades TK-12, employed 200 teachers, leaders and staff, and managed a $23M annual budget. John was able to navigate an adversarial authorizing environment and raise over $5M dollars from foundations and individuals. The school academic programs consistently outperformed districts in which Alpha’s schools were located and prepared founding graduates who have persisted in college at a rate of 86%.

Prior to Alpha Public Schools, John was a teacher and school leader at AIM Schools. John also has experience in the financial sector, having worked as a financial advisor at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. John's experience and knowledge make him a valuable asset to Friendship Public Charter School.

John Glover's educational career began with a B.A. in English and Theology from Boston College. John then went on to complete an executive program for nonprofit leaders at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
