Esmeralda de Belgique

Esmeralda de Belgique is a seasoned documentary filmmaker and prominent advocate for environmental and social causes. Since August 2004, Esmeralda has operated as a freelance filmmaker, specializing in impactful storytelling. In professional roles, Esmeralda serves as an honorary ambassador for WWF-Belgium and as honorary president of CARE Belgium, both since early 2019 and July 2016 respectively. As chairperson of Friendship NGO Belgium, a position held since November 2018, Esmeralda champions humanitarian efforts. Additionally, Esmeralda has provided leadership as president of the LIII fund for Nature exploration and conservation since 1983. Esmeralda’s academic background includes a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Université catholique de Louvain and UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles.
