Sofi Simonyan

Sofi Simonyan has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 as a Loan Specialist at CJSC VTB Bank (Armenia). Sofi then worked as a Translator/Interpreter at BRITISH CLUB International Educational Centre LLC and as an Assistant Project Manager at Armenian Open Society NGO in the same year. From 2015 to 2018, they held multiple roles at ZEPPELIN ARMENIA LLC, including Service Administrator, Warranty Administrator, and Product Support/Warranty Specialist. During this time, they achieved significant results such as improving warranty processes and achieving the highest level of warranty excellence for three consecutive years. In 2018, they joined Retina Web Development as a Scrum Master, where they successfully implemented Scrum practices and significantly improved team performance. Sofi continued to work as a Scrum Master at VectAR in 2019, guiding a cross-functional team through Agile transformation. In 2020, they joined Aroundhome as a Scrum Master and in 2021, they took on the role of Scrum Master Team Lead at Friendsurance, where they currently work. Throughout their career, Sofi has demonstrated expertise in project management, process improvement, and guiding teams through Agile transformations.

Sofi Simonyan completed their Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Communication/ US studies at The Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov from 2008 to 2012. In 2015, they took the Certified Guide Classes at KASA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation Armenia. Additionally, Sofi has obtained several certifications including the ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Team Facilitation from ICAgile in August 2022, Agile Software Development and DevOps Foundations: Lean and Agile from LinkedIn in June 2019, Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in May 2019, GOETHE-ZERTIFIKAT B1 from Goethe-Institut Tbilissi in February 2018, OKR Certified Professional from CertiProf in March 2022, and IELTS Band Score 8 from the British Council in September 2013.
