Alejandra (Ale) Llavona Abarrategui

Alejandra (Ale) Llavona Abarrategui has a diverse work experience in the art industry. Alejandra (Ale) currently works as a Marketing Manager at Frieze, starting in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Masterpiece as a Digital & Social Media Manager from October 2022 to March 2023, a Marketing Coordinator from April 2022 to October 2022, and a Marketing Assistant from February 2021 to April 2022.

Alejandra (Ale) also gained experience as a Gallery Assistant at WORKPLACE Gallery from December 2020 to February 2021, and as a Marketing Intern at The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art from February 2020 to April 2020.

Earlier in their career, Alejandra worked at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac as an Interim Assistant to the Digital, Marketing, and Press departments from December 2019 to February 2020, and as a Press and Social Media intern from September 2019 to February 2020. Alejandra (Ale) was a Gallery Assistant at Richard Saltoun from March 2019 to May 2019.

Alejandra (Ale) gained further experience as an intern in the Books and Manuscript department at Christie's from September 2018 to November 2018. Before that, they worked as a Cataloguer at Museo Pueblo de Asturias from July 2016 to September 2016, and as a Gallery Assistant at Corporacion Masaveu S.A. in August 2015 and August 2014.

Alejandra (Ale) Llavona Abarrategui completed their Master's degree in Art, Law, and Business at Christie's Education from 2017 to 2018. Alejandra (Ale) obtained a Bachelor's degree in the History of Art from the University of Leeds between 2014 and 2017. Prior to their university education, they attended Benenden School from 2009 to 2014. Before that, they studied at Brambletye School from 2008 to 2009, and they completed their primary education at the British Council School Madrid from 1999 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Alejandra received a certification in Integrated Marketing Communications: Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, and more from Coursera in May 2020.
