Rita De Freitas has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rita began their career in 2011 as a Production/Producer's Assistant at Step Up Productions, where they managed databases, collaborated with clients, and assisted the reception team. From 2013 to 2014, they held various runner and assistant roles at companies such as Soho Digital Cinema, Absolute Post, Halfords Media, and Deluxe Digital London. Their responsibilities included reception tasks, working with projectors, and making deliveries. In 2014, they joined Sony DADC as a Runner/Receptionist, where they maintained office cleanliness, answered phone calls, and transferred them to the appropriate individuals. Rita then transitioned to the role of Asset Coordinator, providing production assistance, troubleshooting XML messages, and updating internal systems for video copies. In 2015, they worked as a Receptionist at The Picture Production Company, where they managed the office reception, coordinated meeting room bookings, and acted as a point person for office queries. Currently, since October 2022, they are serving as an Operations Manager at Frieze, overseeing day-to-day office activities, managing office budgets, and handling correspondence and supplies.

Rita De Freitas pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1997 to 2003, they attended La Sainte Union, where they achieved their GCSE degree. During this time, they studied subjects such as English literature, Maths, Art, French and Portuguese, as well as Leisure and Tourism. Following this, they enrolled at Barnet College from 2003 to 2005, where they completed a BTEC degree in Media and Communications. Lastly, from 2005 to 2008, Rita studied at the University of Northampton, earning a Bachelor's degree in Film and TV Studies.

Frieze is a media and events company that comprises three publications, frieze, Frieze Masters Magazine and Frieze Week; and four international art fairs, Frieze London, Frieze Masters, Frieze New York and Frieze Los Angeles. Additionally, Frieze organizes a program of special courses and lectures in London and New York through Frieze Academy. Frieze was founded in 1991 by Matthew Slotover and Amanda Sharp, with the launch of frieze magazine, the leading international magazine of contemporary art and culture. In 2003, Sharp and Slotover launched Frieze London art fair, which takes place each October in The Regent’s Park, London. In 2012, they launched Frieze New York, which occurs each May in Randall’s Island Park, and Frieze Masters, which coincides with Frieze London in October and is dedicated to art from ancient to modern. In February 2019, Frieze launched Frieze Los Angeles at Paramount Pictures Studios, Los Angeles.
