Swain Strickland

Swain Strickland has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Health Educator Consultant at the Levy County Health Department, where they coordinated community efforts, led strategic planning, and established the Levy County Healthcare Advisory Board. In 2013, they became the Director of Community Health at the Volusia County Health Department. From 2014 to 2020, they held various roles at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health, including Technical Lead and Web Development Specialist, where they utilized Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, WordPress, and DevOps. In 2020, they joined Ozmo as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development of dynamic image resizing solutions using AWS Lambda/Gateway. Most recently, they are employed at Fringe, initially as a Senior Software Engineer and currently serving as the Lead Back End Engineer.

Swain Strickland earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2007. Swain later pursued higher education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Policy and Management from 2007 to 2009. In addition, they hold the certification of AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services.
