Shimon Murciano

Hebrew Faculty Member at FRISCH SCHOOL

Rabbi Shimon Murciano has been teaching at Frisch since 1986. After earning two degrees at the University of Pittsburgh, a B.A. and an M.Ed, he accepted the principalship of a Day School in Louisville, KY, and earned a Specialist Degree in Advanced Studies in Education from the University of Louisville. He has also completed his course requirements for a Ph.D. at New York University. Rabbi Murciano served as Headmaster of Hillel Day School in Detroit, and he is the founding principal of Hillel Day School in North Miami Beach, FL.

Throughout the years, Rabbi Murciano has received several awards in recognition of his dissemination of Torah learning as a teacher and as a Menahel of Yeshivot in cities across the United States for sixty years. Rabbi Murciano has also been a member of the RCA since 1962. He is a maggid shiur of the Daf Hayomi at Ahavat Tora in Englewood.
