Duncan Torrance

Duncan Torrance has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance. Duncan began their career in 1990 as an Audit Senior at Deloitte South Africa. In 1994, they moved to the US and joined RSM US LLP as an Audit Manager. In 1998, they joined Samsonite as Manager of Corporate Accounting and Manager of Internal Audit. From 2003 to 2017, they held various roles at PEARL iZUMi, including Controller and Accounting Manager. In 2017, they became CFO of Tenova and in 2019 they became CFO of Blue Stripe LLC dba Fresh Produce. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Frndly TV as Director of Accounting.

Duncan Torrance has an extensive education history. Duncan began their studies in 1985 at the University of the Witwatersrand, where they obtained a BComm in Commerce in 1987. Duncan then returned to the same university in 1988 and earned a BAcc in Accounting in 1989. In 2012, they attended the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy, Corporate Finance and Strategy in 2013. Duncan's most recent education was at the University of Colorado Denver, where they obtained an MS in Finance and Risk Management (Risk Management and Insurance Specialization) in 2019. Additionally, Duncan has obtained four certifications: Certified Public Accountant (Arizona and Colorado) from the AICPA, Chartered Accountant (South Africa) from SAICA CA(SA), Chartered Global Management Accountant from AICPA, and DipIFR (Diploma in International Financial Reporting) from ACCA.
