Tracy Powell

Vice President, Community Services at Front Porch Communities & Services

Tracy Powell has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Tracy started their career as the Vice President of Community Services at Front Porch Communities & Services in 1999. In this role, Tracy was responsible for developing and managing community programs for seniors, including the creation of a weekly Senior Produce Market program that now serves over 1,600 seniors each week. Tracy received an industry Community Services Award in 2003 for their work.

In 2001, Tracy joined Episcopal Senior Communities as the Director of Social Benevolence and Diversity. Here, they created social programs to support residents at affordable housing communities and established an intergenerational partnership that provided both meals for senior residents and culinary arts training for West Oakland school children. Additionally, Tracy created an organization-wide Diversity Program and an English as a Second Language (ESL) program for 950 employees, which was awarded the Quality First Industry Award in 2005.

Tracy also worked at Episcopal Homes Foundation as a Writer/Project Manager. Here, they led the national accreditation process for continuing care retirement communities and trained as a national surveyor. Tracy also conducted resident interviews and wrote articles for in-house publications.

In 2009, Tracy co-founded The Powell Girls, a design company specializing in artwork and unique jewelry. Using semi-precious gems and vintage luggage tags, Tracy created and sold one-of-a-kind pieces. The Powell Girls also regularly donated ten percent of sales to various organizations and charities.
