Miguel Pereira

Miguel Pereira has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Miguel started their career in 1996 as an Accounting Assistant at Emirec Comunicação and later took on the role of Finance and Audit Consultant at Grande Consumo from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they worked as a Finance Officer and Quality Control Manager at Liscic-Toshiba. From 2001 to 2006, Miguel served as the Head of Administration and Finance at Emirec Comunicação, where they were responsible for financial management, budget control, accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. In 2006, they joined EUJUST LEX as a Finance Officer and took on various roles including Acting Head of Administration and Finance, Acting Head of Finance and Administration, and Finance Officer. Miguel then served as the Acting Head of Mission Support at EUBAM Libya from 2013 to 2016. Their most recent position was at the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA), where they worked as a Manager from September 2016 to February 2021. Currently, they are the Head of Finance and Budget Unit at Frontex, starting from February 2021.

Miguel Pereira completed their undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, and Marketing at Universidade Católica Portuguesa from 1994 to 1999. In 2006, they pursued a post-graduate degree in Marketing at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Lastly, in 2010 and 2011, they obtained a Level 6 Diploma from The Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply, specializing in Leading and Influencing in Purchasing, Strategic Supply Chain Management, and Legal Aspects in Purchasing.
