Ummer Afridi, MS, PMP

Ummer Afridi, MS, PMP has diverse and extensive work experience. In 2009, they started their career as an Intern at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Ummer continued to gain valuable experience through internships at both NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 2010 and USDA in 2011.

In 2012, Ummer joined Victor Stanley as a Design Engineer and stayed with the company until 2018. During their time there, they contributed to design projects.

Following their tenure at Victor Stanley, they joined Hydrasearch Company, Inc as a Mechanical Engineer in 2018 and continued until 2020. Ummer was responsible for mechanical engineering tasks.

From 2014 to 2016, Ummer worked at Tesla as a Photovoltaic Designer, where they played a crucial role in designing photovoltaic systems.

In 2020, Ummer joined Monarch Precast Concrete as a Manager, Commercial Pump Stations until 2022. Ummer also worked as a Management Consultant for a brief period during the same time frame.

Currently, Ummer is a Program Manager at Frontgrade Technologies, where they are utilizing their project management skills.

Prior to that, Ummer earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, which was obtained between 2009 and 2012.

In addition to formal education, Ummer Afridi has obtained several certifications. In 2017, Ummer achieved the Six Sigma White Belt from the Aveta Business Institute. In 2018, Ummer obtained the OSHA Hazardous Communication Training Certification from OSHA-Training.com, and in 2017, earned the OSHA Lockout/Tagout Training Certification from the same institution.

In 2009, Ummer achieved the ANSI/ESD S20.20-1999 GSFC-WM-001A/NASA-STD8739.7 Electrostatic Discharge Control Operator certification from the Hawk Institute for Space Sciences, LLC. Additionally, in the same year, Ummer obtained the NASA STD-8739.3 Hand Soldering Operator certification, also from the Hawk Institute for Space Sciences, LLC.

Lastly, Ummer Afridi is currently working towards obtaining the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, with an anticipated completion date in 2023.
