Frontier Design
Alexa Courtney is the CEO and Founder of Frontier Design, established in September 2015, which focuses on addressing complex national and human security challenges through design and systems thinking. Previously, Alexa served as Executive Director of the Fragility Study at the US Institute of Peace and held various leadership roles at organizations such as Mission Essential and Caerus Associates, specializing in international development, conflict resolution, and evaluation practices. Alexa's extensive experience includes advising USAID and the U.S. Department of Defense, along with a Fulbright research project on Tanzanian politics. Alexa holds an MSc in Political Economy of Conflict and Development from the University of London and a BA in Sociology and International Studies from Yale University.
