Stefan Lochner

Stefan Lochner has had a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Stefan began their career with an internship at Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden in 2004 and later worked as an Assistant Lecturer in Economics at Technische Universität Dresden from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they served as a Researcher and Consultant at EWI - Energiewirtschaftliches Institut an der Universität zu Köln. Since 2011, Stefan has been working at Frontier Economics, where they have held various positions including Consultant, Manager, and currently, Associate Director. At Frontier Economics, Stefan advises clients in the public and private sector across various European countries. Stefan has taken the lead on projects related to competition and industrial economics, including cartel and abuse of dominance cases and claims for contractual adjustments.

Stefan Lochner pursued their education in the field of Economics, starting in 2001 when they enrolled at Technische Universität Dresden. Stefan completed their Diplom (equivalent to an MSc) degree there in 2006. Continuing their academic journey, they attended the University of Warwick for the academic year 2003-2004, although the specific degree or field of study during that time is unknown. Finally, Lochner obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy Economics from the University of Cologne, completing their studies in 2011.
