Steve Wiese has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Steve began their career as a Senior Associate at Planergy in 1996 before moving on to Conservation Services Group in 2000, where they served as a Program Manager, developing and managing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. In 2007, Steve founded Clean Energy Associates, where they acted as the Owner and Principal, providing expert knowledge on distributed renewable energy generation, primarily solar and small wind. Steve also assisted clients in developing solar projects in various regions of the United States. Steve then joined Frontier Associates, LLC in 2014 as a Senior Consultant, focusing on efficiency and renewables. In 2017, they transitioned to the role of Director of Implementation Services, managing the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs for electric and gas utilities across multiple states. Steve continued in this position when Frontier Associates, LLC became Frontier Energy, Inc in 2018.
Steve Wiese has an extensive education history, with a focus on energy economics, public policy, and finance. Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biological Sciences and Public Policy from the University of California, Davis, from 1987 to 1992. Following that, they pursued a Master of Public Affairs (MPAff) degree in Energy Finance and Policy at The LBJ School of Public Affairs from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, they completed an MBA in Energy Economics and Public Policy at the Texas McCombs School of Business from 1996 to 1997.
