Weiru Wang

Weiru Wang has extensive work experience in protein sciences and structural biology. Weiru is currently the Executive Director of Protein Sciences and Structural Biology at Frontier Medicines, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Director and later as the Head of Structural Biology at the same company.

Before joining Frontier Medicines, Weiru Wang had a long tenure at Genentech, starting as a Scientist in June 2007 and eventually becoming a Senior Principal Scientist. Weiru held various positions during their time at Genentech, including Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist.

Earlier in their career, Weiru Wang worked as a Senior Scientist at Plexxikon, Inc. from June 2002 to June 2007. Weiru also worked as a Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from June 2001 to May 2002 and at the University of California, Berkeley from February 1999 to May 2001.

Overall, Weiru Wang has consistently held positions of increasing responsibility and has acquired a wealth of experience in protein sciences and structural biology throughout their career.

Weiru Wang pursued a Ph.D. in Biophysics from Cornell University, completing the program from 1994 to 1999.
