Yaniel Ramírez Sánchez

Yaniel Ramírez Sánchez has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical and behavioral research. Yaniel started their career as a Research Intern at Canary CREST Center at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they focused on Epigenetic Remodeling in Breast Cancer. Yaniel then worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at UC San Diego Medical Sciences, investigating the associations between inflammation and trauma-related symptomatology. Yaniel went on to become a Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) Scholar at the University of California, Davis, where they gained intensive research experiences and honed critical thinking and communication skills. During this time, Yaniel also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Baldwin Lab at the Joint Structural Biology Group, focusing on the probing of human cytosine triphosphate synthetase. Yaniel later had a Project Intern role at Allogene Therapeutics, working on method development of qPCR based diagnostic methods. Currently, Yaniel is working as a Research Associate at Frontier Medicines, where they are involved in drug discovery using MS technologies.
