Matthew Thompson

Matthew Thompson, MD, MPH, FASAM, currently serves as a psychiatrist at Frontier Psychiatry since April 2023. Previously, Matthew held various positions at Memorial Hermann Medical Group from 2010 to November 2022, including Medical Director of an inpatient geropsychiatry unit and Director of Adult Psychiatry. Prior to that, Matthew operated as a solo practitioner focused on geriatric patients and worked as an assistant professor of psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine. Matthew has an extensive educational background, including a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch, a residency in psychiatry from Baylor College of Medicine, a geriatric psychiatry fellowship from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a Master of Public Health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
