Liviu Marciu

Liviu Marciu has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at Frontier Software, a role they started in August 2022. Prior to this, Liviu served as the Head of Engineering at Ai-Media from November 2021 to August 2022.

Liviu has also worked at Jim's Group, where they held multiple roles. Liviu was the CTO from May 2018 to October 2021, Head of Technology from March 2017 to April 2018, and Software Development Manager from August 2016 to March 2017.

Before joining Jim's Group, Liviu was the Development Manager at Money3, where they built a software development capability that delivered a loan management platform, reducing underwriting costs and time. Liviu held this position from December 2014 to May 2015.

Liviu's earlier experiences include being the Development Manager/Product Owner at PAID International from December 2013 to December 2014, Senior Developer/Scrum Master at Companion IT from November 2011 to November 2013, and IT Specialist at IBM from January 2011 to November 2011.

Prior to their work in Australia, Liviu had their own ventures in the technology sector. Liviu was the Managing Partner and Founder of ELink from April 2004 to December 2010, where they built a technology services outsourcing operation and established successful businesses in ISP and online ticketing solutions.

Liviu also co-founded NetOnWave in January 2001, where they served as the Managing Partner until April 2004. Additionally, they worked as a Software Developer/Team Lead at QuattroSoft International srl from January 1999 to April 2002.

Liviu Marciu completed their education in a chronological order. In 1994, they attended National College Ion Majorescu, where they studied Information Technology for four years. Then, from 1998 to 2003, Liviu Marciu pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.

In 2014, they enrolled at The University of Western Australia to obtain a Graduate Certificate in Business, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Later, from 2016 to 2019, Liviu Marciu attended Melbourne Business School and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, also focusing on Business Administration and Management.

Additionally, Liviu Marciu has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In December 2011, they obtained the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org. In July 2012, Liviu Marciu became a PMI - Agile Certified Practitioner certified by the Project Management Institute. Liviu further obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2014. Lastly, in July 2022, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
