Caterina da Re

Caterina Da Re is an experienced professional in publishing and scientific research, currently serving as the Head of Publishing Program, Portfolio Manager, and Journal Manager at Frontiers since April 2017, where leadership and strategic development are key responsibilities. Previously, Caterina held roles as a Journal Specialist and Journal Assistant, contributing to journal development at Frontiers. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at the University of Geneva from September 2014 to March 2017, focusing on oncogene-induced DNA replication stress and the development of non-toxic cancer therapies. Additionally, Caterina worked as a Research Scientist at Università degli Studi di Padova from April 2011 to August 2014, investigating mitochondria, metabolism, and disease, and developing widely used biochemical protocols. Caterina holds a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Molecular Biology, all from Università degli Studi di Padova.
