Josanne van Dongen

Josanne van Dongen is an accomplished academic and researcher in forensic psychology, currently serving as an Impact & Engagement Officer at Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences since September 2024. With a long tenure at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam since April 2012, roles have included Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Forensic Psychology, where significant contributions were made as a coordinator of Master's courses and supervisor of forensic research projects. Research expertise focuses on psychopathic personality traits and neurobiological underpinnings. Josanne has also held editorial positions, such as a member of the Editorial Board at Frontiers since December 2020, and actively participates in various committees and boards, including the International Association of Forensic Mental Health Services. A PhD obtained in Forensic Psychiatry from Erasmus MC complements an MSc in Biological and Cognitive Psychology from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
