Maulik Purohit

Chief Science Officer at Fruit Street

Dr. Purohit serves on the Board of Directors as Chief Scientist for Fruit Street because of his passion for health and wellness. He completed his undergraduate degree at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. He then went on to complete medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX with a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor Medical School in Houston, TX. He then completed an NIH-sponsored research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, based out of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Purohit then stayed as faculty Harvard Medical School in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Purohit's fellowship training was in neuro-rehabilitation and brain injury. His research focus was on the epidemiology and science of novel integrative medicine therapies and lifestyle medicine on potential neuroplasticity.
