Gina Kernan

Gina Kernan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Gina is currently the Director of Brand Design at FS Investments, where they collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver effective design solutions and drive brand awareness. Gina also manages in-house designers and focuses on presentational design and data visualization. Prior to this, they worked as a Brand Designer at FS Investments.

Before joining FS Investments, Gina worked at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia for a decade as a Web and Graphic Designer. Gina closely worked with marketing and communications teams and created cohesive and on-brand marketing communications support. Gina designed a variety of digital and print marketing materials, maintained graphic files for the University web presence, and delivered web graphics, e-mail templates, digital ads, social media graphics, and more.

Gina also served on the executive board of AIGA Philadelphia, where they held multiple roles. Gina was the Secretary, responsible for documenting all board and executive meetings, and the Partnership Director, responsible for creating guidelines and structure for financial support. Gina also served as the Philadelphia Design Awards Director, organizing an event and exhibition to showcase exceptional design work from the region.

In terms of teaching experience, Gina was a faculty member at The University of the Arts, where they taught Adobe InDesign and provided an in-depth understanding of the software's print-oriented uses, including brochures, ads, billboards, and more.

Gina began their career as a Graphic Designer at Mease Communications, specializing in graphic design and concept development for various media. Gina also worked as a Server/Bartender at Chili's Grill & Bar, gaining customer service experience.

Gina's work experience also includes a graphic design co-op position at Unisys, where they provided graphic support for marketing collateral and internal communications, and an office assistant role at Faridy Veisz Fraytak, where they handled administrative tasks.
