Jason Powell's work experience includes a role as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer at FS Studio, where they are currently employed. Prior to that, they worked as a Co-Founder and Inventor at BrailleTooth from 2015 to 2021. During their time at BrailleTooth, they developed Braille Bluetooth Keyboards for the blind and visually impaired. Before BrailleTooth, Jason worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Fuse from 2018 to 2020. Jason also worked at Mohawk Group, Inc. as a Project Manager and Mechatronics Engineer from 2016 to 2018, where they played a key role in developing new products and centralizing household products into an Internet of Things (IOT) platform. Additionally, Jason served as a Special Operations Tactical Communicator in the US Navy from 2007 to 2011, where they were responsible for maintaining and operating critical communication systems during deployments in Iraq.
Jason Powell has a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science from Columbia University. Jason also has a background in Italian Language and Literature from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia. Additionally, they hold certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance. Jason has also obtained various endorsements and certifications related to commercial driving, including a Commercial Driver License (CDL), Double/Triple Trailer Endorsement (T) (CDL), Hazmat Transportation Safety, and Passenger Endorsement (P) (CDL) from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
