Joe Perkins

Joe Perkins is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in competition and regulatory economics. Currently serving as Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting since June 2024, Joe leads significant cases in the digital, energy, and utilities sectors. As Bye-Fellow in Economics at Queens’ College, Cambridge since October 2022, Joe continues to contribute to academia. Prior roles include Head of Research and Senior Vice President at Compass Lexecon, Chief Economist at Ofgem, and Director of Regulation, Consumers and Competition at the UK National Audit Office. Joe also held positions at the University of Oxford, HM Treasury, and All Souls College, where expertise in economics has been cultivated and shared. Educational credentials include advanced degrees from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.
