Tim de Sousa

Tim de Sousa is an accomplished professional in privacy, information governance, and technology ethics, currently serving as Managing Director at FTI Consulting since November 2020. With extensive experience in advisory roles, Tim has been a member of the ANZ Advisory Board for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) since December 2018. Previous positions include Executive Manager of Privacy at Westpac, Principal at de Sousa Advisory, and Director at the NSW Government Policy Lab. Tim's career has also encompassed significant roles at the Commonwealth Bank and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Media from Macquarie University, alongside several certifications from IAPP in privacy and governance.
