Mercedes Lara

Mercedes Lara has a diverse work experience in the field of User Experience (UX). Mercedes has worked as a Head of UX at Fudo since 2023. Prior to that, they were a UX Professor at Edison, where they focused on experimenting with new formats and ways of learning about UX. Mercedes also worked as the Head of UX at Wheel the World, where their responsibilities included developing and implementing the user experience vision across the company's products. At Mercado Libre, they served as a UX Manager, leading and developing multiple teams and designing the UX strategy of the product. Mercedes also held roles as a UX Project Leader and Senior UX Designer at Mercado Libre. Prior to their industry experience, Mercedes worked as a Jefa de Trabajos Prácticos and Docente at Facultad de Arquitectura, Universidad de Buenos Aires, where they built pedagogical dynamics to enhance student learning. Mercedes was also a Docente at Escuelas Técnicas ORT and Universidad Nacional de Rosario, teaching various courses related to design. Additionally, they worked as a freelance designer at Editorial Ivrea, focusing on book layout and lettering for manga publications. Mercedes Lara's education history includes completing a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires, from 2000 to 2006. Mercedes then pursued an additional degree, specializing in Editorial Design in 2008 to 2009 at the Fundación Gutenberg. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they obtained a Master's degree in University Teaching at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, focusing on the field of Teaching. Lastly, from 2015 to 2018, Mercedes pursued another Master's degree, this time in University Teaching at the University of Buenos Aires, with a focus on Education.
