Shane van der Nest

Shane van der Nest serves as the Global Director of HSSE at Fugro since April 2023, providing strategic leadership for the HSSE function globally and aligning it with company strategy. Previously, Shane held the position of Global Head of HSSE at Vestas from 2022 to 2023, overseeing HSE activities across multiple sectors. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Global Leader Projects at A.P. Moller - Maersk in 2021, and Executive Director of EHS for Global Grid Solutions at GE Renewable Energy from 2019 to 2020. Shane's tenure at Fluor Corporation spanned from 2011 to 2019, where roles included Director HSSE for Mega Projects and Corporate HSSE for Canadian Operations and Africa Operations. Earlier experience includes serving as Executive HSSE, Global at Murray & Roberts from 2009 to 2011, focusing on health and safety culture assessment.
