Nelson Oms

Nelson Oms has over 20 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Nelson currently holds the position of Head of Drug Product Operations at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies. Prior to their current role, Nelson worked at Pfizer for 17 years, where they held various positions including Director of Aseptic Manufacturing, Sr. Manager of Asset Improvement and Compliance, and Manager/Team Leader of Maintenance and Engineering. Nelson also has experience working at Meridian Medical Technologies as a Sr. Manager of Aseptic Filling, and at SS Technical Specialists as a Validation Specialist. Nelson began their career as a Control System Engineer at Accurate Solutions and Designs.

Nelson Oms obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Nelson later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Technology Management at the University of Phoenix, attending from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Nelson Oms also holds a certification as a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, awarded by the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals.
