Head Of Process Development at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies

Scott McDaniel has extensive experience in the biotechnology field, currently serving as the Head of Process Development at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies since September 2013. In this role, Scott manages a team of 12 in the Downstream Processing/Manufacturing Department and has held various positions, including Interim Head and Associate Director, focusing on downstream processes for viral vaccines and pDNA therapies. Prior to this, Scott worked at TransGenRx, developing purification processes for therapeutic proteins and programming automated purification systems. Scott's foundational experience includes a Graduate Assistant role at the Center for Advanced Microstructures and Devices, and early tutoring in math and physics. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Environmental Toxicology and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, both from Louisiana State University.
