Tom Rajala

Tom Rajala, PE, currently serves as the Manager of Downstream Engineering at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies since January 2024. Prior experience includes ten years at IPS-Integrated Project Services, LLC, where Tom advanced from Senior Process Engineer to Process Group Lead, overseeing daily operations and staff development within the process engineering group. Tom's career began as a Plant Engineer at DanChem Technologies, where capital projects were designed and executed, following a role as a Development Engineer at Corning Cable Systems, managing product launches and providing technical support. Earlier experiences also include a Process Engineer position at NNE Pharmaplan and an internship at Cliffs Natural Resources, alongside military service as a Combat Controller in the US Air Force. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
