R&d Manager, Bioproduction at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific

Luis Rodriguez has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Luis is currently working as the R&D Manager, Bioproduction at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific since December 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Scientist II & Group Lead Therapeutic Bioproduction at the same company from March 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific, Luis worked at ATCC, where they held multiple roles. From March 2019 to March 2020, they were the Senior Scientist & Group Lead for Cell Immortalization and Cellular Assays. Prior to that, from October 2018 to March 2019, they were the Scientist and Manager for Cell Line Immortalization. Luis also worked as a Product Development Scientist at ATCC from August 2016 to October 2018.

Luis also has experience working at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Visiting Scientist from January 2014 to July 2016. Before that, they worked as a Scientist at Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc from November 2010 to January 2014.

Prior to their time at Leidos, Luis worked at SAIC-Frederick, Inc as a Scientist from December 2005 to November 2010 and as a Post-Doctoral Fellow from January 2004 to December 2005.

Luis started their career as a Student Intern at the University of Washington from June 1996 to August 1996.

Luis Rodriguez holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology from Cornell University, which was completed in 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology - Cell and Molecular from California State University, Northridge. In addition to their formal education, Luis has also obtained a certification in New Manager Foundations from LinkedIn in February 2020.
