Jason Forbes

Jason Forbes has a strong background in software engineering, with experience spanning over two decades. Jason currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc. since December 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Spacelabs Healthcare for almost a decade, where they held the role of Lead Software Engineer / Software Development Manager. At Spacelabs Healthcare, Jason was responsible for developing software architecture, infrastructure, UI, and UX for bedside monitors, as well as trending applications for various products. Before joining Spacelabs Healthcare, they worked at TranSenda as an Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer, where they developed modular web-based IT solutions for the life sciences sector. Jason also gained valuable experience at Siemens Medical and Siemens Medical Solutions, where they held the role of Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. During their time at these companies, they contributed to the development of real-time 3D cardiac products, adhering to strict FDA and ISO-9001 standards, and implemented highly reusable anatomical measurement packages. Additionally, they worked as a Contract Software Engineer at Confirma, Inc., participating in the development of their CADStream technology. Jason's early career included serving as a Lead Software Engineer at Quintessent Communications Inc., where they contributed to the design and implementation of their QConnect product, developing Client/Server CORBA applications.

Jason Forbes attended the State University of New York at Oswego from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science.
